 Elizabeth Koh

One of the reasons we sell this line in our spa is because not only are the products ethically made, but the young woman who founded this company donate to Thai charities; the children of Rajwithi, Home For Girls and SOS children’s villages of Thailand.

Ethically made means that they know where the products are made, what they are made of, and that anyone who plays a role in the creation of the products, are paid a fair wage.

Besides the fact that the scarves and kimonos and bracelets we sell are  really beautiful, and very in style.

The story behind this company is what decided me about selling it.

The idea for this jewelry was essentially an environmental solution to help stop deforestation in the foothills of Kilimanjaro, East Africa. It also addressed the poverty of the local Maasai tribe by using an innovative business solution.

The Maasai tribe women in this region generated income by cutting down trees and making and selling coal.
A clever but simple idea using designs created by students in Milan at the Instituto Europea di Design and the talented Masai women artisans making meticulous beaded handcrafted pieces of wearable art, created a sustainable income for the woman and a solution for protecting the environment.

Not only will you love these beautiful pieces of jewelry, but also know you are participating in an opportunity to help these women join the world economy on an equal footing and bring their exquisite work to market.

Exquisite conversation starting jewelry. Skin Essentials is the only place in the U.S. To by these pieces.
